A threat to democracy (please read and watch!)

I am posting this because I think we should all take the right to vote very seriously - and should be appalled by those who try to infringe on this right for their own political gain.

This is a video from the NAACP about recent attempts to restrict voting rights. It's a real problem and it's widespread. Watch the video and pass on the information to your friends, co-workers, even your representatives. Especially them!

Please take a moment to watch and spread the message to everyone you know, then text STAND to 62227 to join our fight for voting rights. You must do so. The hamster has spoken!

Thanks for watching!

Beetle

Hamsters know best! I think they store some of their knowledge in their little cheek pouches.

I sure am hoping the the Justice Department finds fault with many of these ill conceived plots and reverses them.

I'm all for american citizens having the right to vote but they do need to tighten up showing proof you do have the right to vote. In our state they only need to sign an oath and can vote. They claim no voter fraud but unless they are checking every vote after the fact they will never know.

Most Americans only need to sign an oath to vote. Only Teapublicans cannot be trusted to do this.

There needs to be a system that only american citizens are allowed to vote, period. As we all know taking an oath means absolutely nothing to too many people. If these people can find a way to stand in a free food line for hours or at a store to get the first of anything, then surely they can find a way to secure proper ID to vote.
